Simply enroll in our online certification course. You’ll learn interview techniques, how to use recording tools, and how to submit stories for professional weaving and preservation. Once you complete the training, you’ll receive a certification badge and access to marketing materials.

Gatherers are usually Independent Contractors with a few options of how to work with us. A Freelancer position is free and gives you support and Hub access after you are certified, a Gathering Partner position that has a low monthly fee of $25 per month which provides you with a profile & scheduling pages off of our site, and a business brand licensing relationship for experienced Gatherers to start their own separate businesses with their own staff.

Gatherers typically earn per interview they conduct. You decide your rates if you run your own business. Additionally, you can earn a Commission on any Story memberships. or referrals of other Gatherers to get their certification.

The Certification course is regularly $99, but we frequently have discounts AND we also have scholarships available. Once you are certified you will need a smartphone with a microphone, access to Zoom or other recording apps, and a quiet space for conducting interviews. Our training will walk you through the process. There are also a few free apps that will make Gathering easier some of them are free, some have additional fees for the PRO versions.

Yes! We encourage Gatherers to partner with local churches, senior centers, schools, and community organizations. We even provide training on how to set up booths, events, or do talks at community centers. To use our branding and materials you must be an Independent Contractor with us or have a Brand Licensing agreement.

Certified Gatherers have access to a private online community, monthly coaching calls, and priority support through our team. We’re here to help you succeed.
